Spanish Language and Volunteering Program
“La Casa en el Arbol” school of languages in cooperation with the NGO Nataté Voluntariado Internacional A.C. offers a new and dynamic language and volunteering program.
The program offers the possibility to learn Spanish in a highly professional setting and to practice what you learnt while taking part in a local development project. By choosing this program you can decide to learn one of the most spoken languages in the world and to give your contribution to a socially meaningful project.
The language course is a one–on–one course and it includes outdoor lessons, visits to local points of interest, markets and museums and it will be organised according to your specific needs and level of knowledge.
The volunteering project is organised as a group experience and the participants will exchange, while working and living together, their culture and experience with other Mexican and international volunteers. The projects have different themes: ecology, environmental education, water and forest management and habitat. They take place in Chiapas and the south of Tabasco in direct cooperation with different indigenous communities.

The program fee covers:
- 2 weeks intensive language course (4 hours a day, one – on – one course).
- accommodation during the course.
- salsa lessons, visits to museums, library, documentaries and Latin American films, wireless internet during the course.
- a 2 days introduction workshop before the beginning of the voluntary service project.
- 2 or 3 weeks voluntary service (please check the calendar).
- accommodation, food, group leader and evaluation meetings during the voluntary service period.
When selecting the dates and projects you prefer, please consider that:
- 1. All voluntary service projects include a two days introduction workshop (specified in the calendar).
- 2. Participants are expected to participate for the all duration of the voluntary service project.
- 3. The number of places is limited.
